Salman Khan Roasts Himself While Confronting His Impersonator on The Great Indian Kapil Show

In a hilarious and self-aware moment, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made a memorable appearance on the third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show, where he confronted an impersonator of himself and ended up roasting his own film, Sikandar. The episode, which will stream on Netflix starting June 21, 2025, has already generated immense buzz thanks to the witty exchanges and comic timing showcased in the promotional clips.

The promo opens with Kapil Sharma introducing the panel of impersonators who mimic various Bollywood celebrities. Among them is a Salman Khan lookalike imitating his popular Radhe Bhaiyya persona, famously associated with action-packed roles and Salman’s unique swag. True to form, Salman Khan engages with the impersonator in his signature style, asking him, “Kaam dhanda accha chalra hai? Sikandar se koi farak to nahi pada?” This roughly translates to, “Is your work going well? Has Sikandar affected you in any way?”

The impersonator, maintaining a cheerful demeanor, assures him that things are going fine. The entire audience erupts in laughter, but the most surprising moment comes next—Salman Khan smiles and takes a playful dig at himself and his latest movie. This unexpected self-roast left the audience clapping and hooting, proving once again why Salman Khan continues to hold a special place in the hearts of millions.

Sikandar, which was released on March 30, 2025, on the occasion of Eid, was a highly anticipated film directed by A.R. Murugadoss and starred Rashmika Mandanna opposite Salman Khan. Despite a decent box office run—reportedly crossing ₹121 crore—the film received mixed reviews. While it performed well commercially, it failed to match the high expectations typically associated with Salman’s Eid releases. The star’s comment during the show reflects his grounded personality and his ability to laugh at himself, even when things don't go perfectly.

The third season of The Great Indian Kapil Show has brought back its all-star ensemble including Kapil Sharma, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, and Krushna Abhishek. The show, known for its celebrity interviews blended with stand-up comedy and skits, continues to draw in a wide audience across age groups. Salman’s candid appearance on the show, especially his good-natured banter with his impersonator, is a testament to his enduring charm and humour.

The interaction is being widely appreciated on social media, with fans loving the fact that Salman is not only able to take a joke on himself but also encourages light-hearted humour around his work. It’s rare to see such humility in a superstar of his stature, and this makes his appearance on the show even more special.

With the episode set to stream soon, fans are eagerly waiting to watch the full interaction and enjoy more behind-the-scenes moments from one of Bollywood’s biggest entertainers.
