Punjab Shocker: Popular Social Media Influencer Kamal Kaur Found Dead in Car, Probe On

In a deeply disturbing incident that has shocked Punjab and the influencer community, popular social media personality Kamal Kaur, also known as Kanchan Kumari, was found dead inside a parked car near Adesh Medical University in Bathinda. The gruesome discovery was made on the night of June 11, 2025, after local residents reported a foul smell coming from the vehicle. The car was found locked, and police suspect foul play, treating the case as a potential murder.

Kamal Kaur, known online as Kamal Kaur Bhabhi, had a massive following on social media with nearly 384,000 Instagram followers and a YouTube channel boasting over 236,000 subscribers. She was widely known for her bold, outspoken videos that often combined humor and social commentary. Her sudden death has not only stunned her fans but also triggered a wave of concern across the digital influencer community.

According to the police, Kamal had left her home in Ludhiana on June 9, telling her family she was going to attend a promotional event. However, she soon became unreachable. Her body was discovered two days later in a car with a fake number plate, raising immediate suspicions of a premeditated crime. Preliminary investigations suggest that she may have been murdered at a different location before her body was placed in the vehicle and abandoned near the university campus.

CCTV footage from the area provided a crucial lead to the investigation. A man wearing a turban was seen driving the car into the university parking lot early on June 10. He parked the vehicle and walked away, leaving it there for nearly 36 hours until police intervened. The man’s identity remains unknown, but the footage has become a key part of the ongoing investigation.

Forensic teams and crime experts have been deployed to collect evidence, and a post-mortem is underway to determine the exact cause and time of death. The Punjab police have registered a murder case and are exploring various angles, including possible links to past threats against Kamal. It has come to light that she had received threats in 2024, allegedly from Arsh Dalla, a Canada-based Khalistani figure. At the time, she was warned over posting content deemed “vulgar,” although Kamal had reportedly refused to back down.

Police are currently examining her digital footprint, including mobile phone records, call logs, and social media interactions, in an effort to uncover the motive and identify any suspects. Investigators are also questioning acquaintances and family members to understand the sequence of events that led to her tragic death.

The incident has sparked outrage and mourning across social media platforms, with fans and followers demanding justice for Kamal. As the probe continues, authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist the investigation. The case has raised serious questions about the safety of influencers, particularly women, in today’s digital age.
