Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, two of India’s most celebrated personalities from the fields of Bollywood and cricket respectively, have always drawn public attention—not just for their careers but also for their relationship. Despite their high-profile lives, the couple has managed to maintain a strong and balanced marriage, rooted in mutual respect and understanding. However, their early days as a married couple were not as easy as they might seem.

Spending Only 21 Days Together in Six Months

In a 2020 interview, Anushka Sharma shared that during the first six months after her wedding to Virat Kohli in December 2017, the two could only spend 21 days together. This startling revelation highlighted the challenges of managing time as two successful professionals in demanding industries. Anushka mentioned that their meetings were often short and centered around work, with barely enough time to enjoy a meal together. “People assume when I’m visiting Virat or when he is visiting me that it’s a holiday, but it’s really not. One person is always working,” she had said.

Staying Grounded Despite Fame

Despite being constantly in the limelight, both Anushka and Virat have remained grounded and supportive of each other. Virat has often credited Anushka for bringing emotional stability and clarity to his life. He once expressed that she inspired him to be a better person, saying, “She has given me a new lease on life... I feel blessed to spend my life with the most amazing woman I know.”

Embracing Parenthood and Prioritizing Family

As the years progressed, the couple continued to strengthen their bond. They welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika, in January 2021. In February 2024, they became parents again with the birth of their son, Akaay. The couple chose to relocate to London for a more private and peaceful environment, away from the constant scrutiny of Indian media.

Anushka’s decision to take on fewer acting projects post-motherhood is a reflection of their commitment to building a nurturing family life. Both Anushka and Virat have managed to strike a balance between their professional obligations and personal priorities.

A Testament to Strong Partnership

Their journey is a shining example of what a strong partnership can look like even under immense public and professional pressure. Their ability to respect each other’s space and support each other through tight schedules and life transitions speaks volumes about their bond.
