Rhea Chakraborty Embraces Role as Shopkeeper; Shares Journey of Fashion and Family Pride

Actress Rhea Chakraborty has turned a new page in her life by embracing entrepreneurship and launching her clothing brand, 'Chapter 2', in partnership with her brother, Showik Chakraborty. The journey has been both deeply personal and professionally fulfilling, especially given their background and past struggles. Rhea, often known for her work in films, now proudly refers to herself as a "shopkeeper" with a store on Mumbai’s busy Linking Road. For her, this new identity is a matter of pride, not embarrassment.

The launch of 'Chapter 2' has been met with overwhelming public support. Rhea shared that the response exceeded their expectations, reaffirming their belief in the brand's message and appeal. The idea behind the brand is not just fashion, but also a reflection of personal expression and social commentary. According to Rhea, the clothing line is a medium through which emotions are communicated and stories are told.

At the core of her joy lies her family's pride. Rhea spoke warmly about how happy her parents are with this venture, expressing that making them proud is one of the biggest achievements of her life. She acknowledged the difficulties they have faced as a family, and emphasized that their smiles and satisfaction are what motivate her to keep going. The entrepreneur in her is as focused on emotional fulfillment as she is on commercial success.

Instead, she chooses to wear what makes her feel comfortable, believing that comfort leads to happiness, which in turn enhances one’s performance in life. Her fashion philosophy is about being at ease in your skin and using clothes as a way to express who you are.

Another item, a T-shirt with the word “Cancel,” aims to take back control from online trolls and shift the narrative around cancel culture. These messages reflect Rhea’s own experiences with social judgment and her determination to rise above negativity.

Showik Chakraborty, who co-founded the brand, has chosen to stay out of the limelight. Despite being Rhea’s brother, he shared that he never had aspirations to act and prefers working behind the scenes. His focus is on the brand’s development and success, allowing Rhea to be the face while he manages the operations.

Together, Rhea and Showik are building more than just a fashion label — they are creating a platform for expression, resilience, and
