Let’s hit rewind to late July. Following a wave of Gen Z-led student protests regarding the NEET-UG exam paper leak controversies, Kangana took to her Instagram stories to unleash a fiery, no-holds-barred rant.

She didn't hold back, famously dubbing young, independent women as "Generation Gutter."

According to her viral posts, these protesting youths were "so-called westernised Indian women" who were allegedly skipping out on responsibilities, surviving on their parents' dimes, and flaunting an independence they hadn't earned. She even called reels from the Gen Z protests "puke-inducing," stating: "Never in my life I have seen so much ugliness in one place... ewwww who is birthing and raising them?"

The backlash was instant. Opposition leaders slammed her, social media tore her comments apart, and the internet was seemingly united in calling out the harsh rhetoric.

The Pivot: "India's Greatest Strength"

Fast forward a mere ten days, and it seems Kangana has had a massive change of heart.

Speaking to reporters outside Parliament on Friday, the Queen actress sang a remarkably different tune. Gone were the "puke-inducing" accusations. Instead, she crowned Gen Z as the ultimate pride of the nation.

"Gen Z is the strength of our country and, in a way, a great asset to our nation," Kangana declared. "We are very happy that our young people are increasingly emerging as ambassadors of our culture and its identity."

She went on to clarify that a whole generation shouldn't be judged by a few bad apples, noting that the "10-15 people" who abuse her online do not represent all young people. She specifically praised young athletes dedicating their medals to the country and the students protesting peacefully in Jharkhand.

What Sparked the U-Turn?

So, what caused this sudden rush of affection for the youth? Timing is everything in politics and showbiz.

Kangana’s glowing praise came exactly one day after RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat publicly stated that the younger generation is "our own next generation" and that they shouldn't be branded as anti-national for protesting peacefully. Kangana herself acknowledged his influence, stating it was a privilege to benefit from his "wisdom and experience."

Whether it was a strategic political realignment, a genuine change of perspective, or just a classic case of Kangana being Kangana, one thing is certain: Gen Z has officially been upgraded from the "gutter" to the "greatest asset."
