In a recent interview, Bollywood actress Kajol shared her candid views on the industry’s most celebrated actors—Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar. Known for her decades-long journey in Hindi cinema, Kajol spoke openly about her experience working with the iconic trio of Khans and expressed admiration for each of them in unique ways.
Kajol began by talking about Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, two actors she has shared screen space with in several acclaimed films. She described both as “extremely professional” and “very, very serious” about their work. According to Kajol, their commitment to perfection is what sets them apart and is a major reason behind their enduring success in the film industry. She emphasized that their dedication to their craft makes them deserving of every bit of stardom and respect they have earned over the years.
Moving on to Salman Khan, Kajol offered a different kind of praise. She acknowledged that while Salman may not approach his roles with the same methodical seriousness as Shah Rukh or Aamir, his star power remains unparalleled. Quoting Aamir Khan’s own past words, Kajol highlighted that every Salman Khan movie seems destined to enter the ₹100 crore club purely due to his presence. She stated that the audience's love for Salman is unwavering and that his connection with fans is something no one else can replicate. According to Kajol, this rare quality makes Salman Khan’s stardom truly unique.
When the interviewer pointed out that Akshay Kumar has delivered 18 films in the ₹100 crore club—technically more than Salman—Kajol responded thoughtfully. While she admitted being surprised by the statistic, she maintained that the kind of mass appeal Salman Khan holds is still unmatched. She even went on to say that Akshay himself would likely agree with this view, acknowledging Salman’s larger-than-life presence and star magnetism.
Kajol’s remarks offer a rare insight into the dynamic between Bollywood's top actors, coming from someone who has worked closely with all of them. Her ability to differentiate between professional dedication and mass appeal highlights the varied reasons why each of these actors holds a special place in Indian cinema.
On the work front, Kajol is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Maa, a mythological-horror drama directed by Vishal Furia. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27 and promises to showcase Kajol in a never-seen-before avatar.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan continues to rule the box office with recent and upcoming projects like Sikandar, an action-packed thriller featuring Sanjay Dutt, and the much-anticipated sequel Kick 2.
Kajol’s observations not only celebrate the talents of her co-stars but also underline how stardom in Bollywood is shaped by both performance and personal charisma—each equally vital in defining cinematic legends.
