The announcement instantly created buzz, both in India and internationally, celebrating the life and legacy of one of the nation’s most respected scientists and former Presidents.

Dhanush, known for his versatile acting and impactful screen presence, steps into the shoes of Dr. Kalam, a figure revered for his humility, intellect, and dedication to India's scientific and educational advancements. The biopic aims to not only capture the milestones of Kalam’s career—from his pivotal role in India’s missile development programs to his tenure as the 11th President of India—but also explore his life as a poet, teacher, and visionary who inspired millions, especially the youth.

Om Raut, best known for directing Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Adipurush, expressed deep honor in bringing Dr. Kalam’s story to life. He called the film both an artistic challenge and a moral responsibility, emphasizing its potential to serve as a source of inspiration for youth across the globe, particularly in the Global South. Raut also highlighted that the film will delve into Kalam's personal philosophies and the obstacles he overcame, reflecting on his journey from humble beginnings in Rameswaram to becoming the “People’s President” of India.
