Prince Narula Says Daughter Ikhleen Changed Him: ‘God Has Given Me a Goddess’

Updated: Aug 22

Prince Narula has built much of his public image around competitive reality television outspoken, confrontational when required and rarely hesitant to express an opinion. Fatherhood, he says, has brought out a considerably softer side.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with India Today, Prince reflected on raising his daughter Ikhleen with wife Yuvika Chaudhary and said becoming a father has fundamentally changed how he looks at his time, responsibilities and future.
The 35-year-old reality television personality said he now spends around 70 per cent of his time with his daughter, and when they are apart, video calls help him stay connected.
Describing what having a daughter means to him, Prince said he considers it a blessing and feels as though “God has given me a Goddess.”
The remarks are more than an affectionate celebrity-parent moment. They fit into a larger change both Prince and Yuvika have discussed publicly since becoming parents from their approach to work and time apart to the difficult period their marriage went through around Yuvika’s pregnancy.
Prince Narula Says Fatherhood Changed Him ‘Completely’
Asked by India Today how becoming a father had affected him, Prince's answer was unequivocal: “Completely.”
He explained that the aggressive personality viewers sometimes associate with him through reality television isn't necessarily how he behaves away from the camera.
Prince said audiences have become accustomed to seeing him react strongly and express his point of view on competitive shows, while people meeting him personally may encounter a much softer personality.
That distinction matters in understanding why he sees fatherhood as such a significant personal change.
According to Prince, there was a stage of his life when he reacted immediately to situations and wasn't particularly concerned about consequences or confrontation.
His priorities are different now.
Since Ikhleen arrived, he said, much of his day revolves around her.
Prince told India Today that he spends approximately 70 per cent of his time with his daughter and uses FaceTime when she isn't physically with him.
‘God Has Given Me a Goddess’
Prince's most striking description of fatherhood came when discussing what he believes is different about being a daughter's father.
Calling it a blessing, he said becoming the father of a girl has given him a new sense of purpose.
“A girl's father is different from everyone else,” Prince told India Today before describing his daughter as a blessing and saying he feels God has given him a “Goddess.”
His comments were not simply about affection.
Prince also described a change in the way he thinks about his own future.
Where his decisions might previously have centred primarily on himself, he said a father begins thinking about what he can build and provide for his daughter.
Education is one example he specifically mentioned. Prince said he wants to ensure that his daughter receives the best schooling he can provide.
That gives his comments a more practical dimension: fatherhood has apparently changed not only his emotional life but the way he thinks about responsibility.
Prince Says Both Parents Have Different but Important Roles
Prince also discussed how he and Yuvika approach raising their daughter.
Rather than treating one parent as more important, he argued that both occupy roles the other cannot replace.
He acknowledged the unique position of a mother while making the same point about fathers, describing both as essential parts of a child's upbringing.
That view is broadly consistent with what Yuvika herself has previously said about Prince's involvement at home.
In a May 2025 interview with The Times of India, Yuvika described her husband as an involved father who helps with childcare and steps in when she is tired. She also explained that she deliberately encouraged Prince to spend substantial time caring for their daughter because she wanted the two to establish a strong bond.
According to Yuvika, that effort gradually brought the family closer.
Her account provides useful independent context for Prince's newer claim that he now spends most of his available time with his daughter.
Parenthood Has Changed Yuvika Too
Prince isn't the only parent who has publicly described a transformation.
Yuvika has repeatedly discussed how motherhood changed her understanding of family and love.
Speaking to Hindustan Times for Mother's Day in 2025, she recalled the emotional experience surrounding her daughter's birth and said she felt complete after finally holding her baby following a C-section. She also revealed that Prince was present in the operating theatre and cut the umbilical cord.
More recently, Prince and Yuvika spoke together about how their daughter has changed their home life.
During a May 2026 interaction with Mid-day, Prince said becoming parents had given the couple a new understanding of love, while Yuvika described parenting as a two-way process in which they teach their daughter certain things and learn from her in return.
Taken together, those interviews show that Prince's latest remarks aren't an isolated soundbite. Both parents have consistently described their daughter as reshaping their priorities.
Their Journey to Parenthood Wasn't Entirely Smooth
There is another layer to Prince's comments that makes them more meaningful.
The period surrounding Yuvika's pregnancy was also a difficult one for their marriage.
Prince and Yuvika met during Bigg Boss 9 in 2015, developed a relationship after the programme and married in October 2018.
They welcomed their first child in October 2024.
But their transition into parenthood coincided with considerable public speculation about their relationship.
In July 2026, the couple addressed that period during Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi's Double Date.
Prince and Yuvika said misunderstandings, anxiety, public scrutiny and the pressures surrounding pregnancy created a particularly difficult phase. They acknowledged that at one point they even discussed whether they should separate before ultimately working through their problems.
Prince also explained that one of his vlog comments about the couple not living together had been interpreted as evidence of a breakup. He later said the living arrangement was connected with circumstances including Yuvika's pregnancy and construction work at their home.
That history should not overshadow a story about fatherhood, but it provides relevant context for why Prince's emphasis on family and his daughter carries more weight now.
Yuvika Has Also Described Prince as a Hands-On Father
Prince's own description of being deeply involved in Ikhleen's life is supported by comments Yuvika has made independently.
She has described him as a hands-on father and spoken about the bond he has developed with their daughter.
In another interview, Yuvika explained that Prince participates in everyday childcare rather than treating parenting as solely her responsibility.
She also acknowledged the less polished side of new parenthood, joking that while Prince became good at helping the baby burp, he could panic when she cried.
Those details are valuable because they make the broader “fatherhood changed me” statement more tangible.
The transformation Prince describes isn't limited to philosophical statements about becoming a parent. It appears in mundane responsibilities caring for the child, making video calls when separated and restructuring work around family.
Fatherhood Is Also Affecting Prince’s Work Choices
Prince told India Today that he has become more selective about where he directs his professional energy.
He said he wants to move away from simply following the same competitive path as everybody else and focus on projects that reflect his own ambitions.
That includes hosting as well as developing shows he has written himself.
His career remains closely connected with reality television.
Prince became particularly identified with the format after winning MTV Roadies X2, Splitsvilla 8 and Bigg Boss 9. He later returned to the Roadies ecosystem in a mentor/gang-leader capacity and has continued working across reality and non-fiction entertainment.
But his latest comments suggest that professional success is no longer the only measure shaping his decisions.
Fatherhood has added another consideration: how much time a project leaves for his daughter.
That was also evident when Prince and Yuvika participated in The 50. Yuvika acknowledged before entering the JioHotstar reality competition that leaving their daughter behind would be one of the hardest parts of taking on the show.
The Celebrity Hour Take
Celebrity interviews about parenthood can easily become collections of affectionate quotes. Prince Narula's comments are more interesting when placed against the last two years of his life.
The same period that brought him his daughter also brought substantial change.
Prince and Yuvika navigated pregnancy, becoming first-time parents, periods of physical separation, anxiety, public speculation about their marriage and eventually a candid conversation about how difficult things had become.
Against that background, Prince saying he now spends 70 per cent of his time with his daughter isn't simply another declaration about loving his child.
It points towards a shift in priorities.
There is also an interesting contrast with the public identity that made Prince famous. Reality television rewarded his competitiveness, directness and willingness to confront people. Parenthood, by his own description, has made him softer and more future-focused.
Neither personality necessarily cancels out the other.
What has changed is what happens when the cameras stop rolling.
For someone whose career was built by winning competitions, Prince now seems to measure an increasingly important part of his life through something far less public: being present for his daughter.
Sources & Verification
The central comments in this report come from Prince Narula's August 10, 2026 exclusive interview with India Today, where he discussed how daughter Ikhleen changed him, the amount of time he spends with her, parenting alongside Yuvika Chaudhary and his evolving professional priorities. Because those remarks originated in another publication's exclusive interview, The Celebrity Hour has clearly credited India Today rather than presenting them as independently obtained comments.
Additional context was independently cross-checked against earlier interviews with Prince and Yuvika concerning their daughter's birth, parenting responsibilities and the difficult period their marriage went through around the pregnancy.
