The doors of Baba Nirala’s controversial empire are opening once again. Prakash Jha Productions has confirmed that filming is underway on Aashram Season 4, bringing Bobby Deol back to the crime drama that became an important turning point in his career.

The production house announced the development with a photograph of an Aashram 4 clapperboard placed at a ceremonial setting. Its accompanying message read: “Ek aur aarambh… Aashram ke naye adhyay mein aapka swagat hai. Japnaam. Aashram 4 now filming!”

The announcement establishes that the project has entered production. However, the makers have not yet disclosed its premiere date, episode count or a complete, formally confirmed cast list.

What Has Been Confirmed About ‘Aashram’ Season 4?

Prakash Jha, who created, directed and produced the earlier instalments, is returning to the world of Aashram. Bobby Deol is set to reprise his central role as Kashipur Waale Baba Nirala, also known as Monty Singh.

The character presents himself as a spiritual leader but uses faith, political influence and a tightly controlled organisation to protect a criminal enterprise. Much of the series’ conflict has come from the widening gap between Nirala’s public image and the violence, exploitation and manipulation concealed behind it.

The first chapter premiered on MX Player in August 2020, followed by a second chapter in November that year. Season 3 arrived in June 2022. Five additional episodes were subsequently released on Amazon MX Player on February 27, 2025 under the title Ek Badnaam Aashram Season 3 Part 2.

Before that 2025 release, promotional language and entertainment coverage sometimes referred to the forthcoming continuation as Season 4. Amazon MX Player’s current programme listing, however, classifies those episodes as the second part of Season 3.

The production now being filmed is separately and explicitly identified as Aashram 4 on the makers’ clapperboard. In other words, this is a new production cycle not a delayed announcement concerning the five episodes released in 2025.

Earlier production reports named Pohankar and Roy Sanyal among the principal performers expected to return. Other publications have also mentioned actors from previous instalments. Nevertheless, until the production house or streaming platform releases a definitive cast announcement for Season 4, the participation of every returning actor should be described as reported rather than conclusively established.

Has the Release Date Been Announced?

No official premiere date has been announced for Aashram Season 4.
